The problem is that this can make finding the right wedding photographer for you a little bit like searching for a needle in a haystack!

One of the best ways of sorting out the good from the bad remains personal recommendation. If a friend or relative can recommend a great wedding photographer then make sure you check them out yourselves. Always keep an open mind though. The style of photography that someone else likes may not be right for you.

If you are unable to find a wedding photographer through personal recommendations then Yellow Pages are a common method of tracking one down. The problem is that listings for London run over several pages and how do you know if the ten you have made a list of are any good? Your search could take you days if not weeks.

Another place where you can get recommendations for a London wedding photographer is from other wedding suppliers. For example if you are buying your wedding dress then the dress shop can almost certainly put you on touch with a small number of photographers. One positive point here is that a dress shop is unlikely to recommend a poor photographer as it will reflect badly on them and they will be looking to protect their own hard earned reputation.

There are many directories of wedding photographers here on the Internet, including one here on Photographers.co.uk. One of the advantages here is that you can view sample photos easily and by using email you can contact a number of photographers quickly and easily.
